All of us in the area we call Southern Arizona celebrate, or are at least passingly familiar with the Mexican Holiday known as Dia de los Muertos, or The Day of the Dead. Ever wonder about this special event that has become ubiquitious in Mexico and Southern Arizona. There are shops that are dedicated to this strange day.
The celebration venerates our ancestors. Dia de los Muertos focuses on family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. Watch this video to get a better idea of what this day means to those that honor it.
This video is brought to you by Michael Foster and the Friends of the Huachuca Mountains. Carr House will be celebrating the Dia de los Muertos on Sunday, October 26 from 10am - 4pm with a special video presentation and celebration at 1:30.
