There are so many places in the Great American Southwest where if you get off the beaten path, you will likely run across weirdness. Such was the case when Ms. Karen & I ventured west of Yuma, AZ and into the Imperial Sand Dunes in late March 2017.

We were approaching the Dunes from the east and came across this unmarked graveyard with perhaps a dozen crosses that marked earthly remains. We have no idea why people were buried here along the side of a remote two lane highway.

Then, as we drove deeper into the Dunes, we came across CAMP TRUMP.

Sign reads: “Try NOT to be a perenially duped Dumb – O – Crat.” We tried not to notice that the word “perennially” was misspelled.

Near CAMP TRUMP, a long freight train sat on a siding. It carried at least 50 modern Army tanks. We quickly put two and two together and realized that these modern weapons were being delivered to CAMP TRUMP as the first installment of the President’s grand U.S. military build-up to make America Great Again. And it was all being orchestrated in this remote desert away from the prying eyes of the evil media. (This statement is probably not true).
