The bird walks are not currently being hosted by the Friends of the San Pedro River on Sundays at the Environmental Operations Park in Sierra Vista. But you can go on your own. It is an interesting, educational walk. As we lose the natural habitat provided by the San Pedro River due to groundwater pumping, this type of Water Park will become more and more important. Watch this video.
This educational video was filmed and produced by Mike Foster of San Pedro River Videos. Mike is an ardent supporter of the Friends of the San Pedro River which serves to educate people about the value of the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area (SPRNCA). He is also a docent at the Carr House in the Huachuca Mountains which is open seasonally from April through October.
