Last Minute Shopping Can be Fun
One of my favorite last minute Christmas Shopping outings has always included a trip to Old Town Artisans and lunch at La Cocina. This was even before the restaurant was embued with new management blood and an ongoing roundtable of late night music venues. I always liked the quieter, more subdued hidden gems.
However, you might consider this last minute Christmas Spirit trip down to the Old Town Artisans this Saturday, in the heart of Historic Downtown Tucson.
Bring the kids for a story telling of the “Very Hairy Christmas” at 12:30.
Dine at La Cocina an eclectic blend, very good, if not too busy for my likes.
Children will also like the pottery demonstration at 1:30 the Romero House behind Tucson Art Museum.
Santa will be there from 11:30 – 12:30 and there will be Carriage Tours of Old Town all day.
At 3 pm enjoy a performance by the Tucson Women’s Chorus.
Sounds like a great holiday outing that everyone can enjoy. And the shops there, have some very unique and special gift ideas.
Other favorites of mine include:
A gift “basket” from Tucson Tamale Company.
Spices from the Santa Cruz Chile and Spice Company.
