East of the Santa Rita Mountains, South of Interstate 10 and west and south of Sierra Vista are the Huachuca Mountains. Part of what we call the Sky Islands, the Huachucas are the home to; Miller Peak, the second highest peak in Cochise County; Gardner, Brown, Ramsey and Carr Canyons. It is also the site of the Coronado National Memorial. The Carr House Visitors Center is located in Carr Canyon, where you can get acquainted with the history and environmental aspects to be found in this area.
This video will give you a taste of the Huachucas in all seasons. Carr House is open Weekends April through October. Be sure to visit in October for some fall color.
