The White Desert Evening Primrose
This Evening Primrose, also known as the Tufted Evening primrose because of its growth habit, grows freely throughout the Southwest desert. Its scientific name is Oenothera Caespitose. There are several subspecies, many of which are fairly drought resistant. The White Desert Evening Primrose is a clumping plant, spreading through reseeding, differing from the root-spreading Mexican Evening Primrose. It has lovely white blossoms, forming a cup, with its 4 heart-shaped petals.
