23rd Annual John Boemer Golf Tournament
Arizona’s Children Association (AzCA) is hosting its 23rd annual John Boemer Golf Tournament on May 7 at the Yuma Golf and Country Club (3150 S Fortuna Ave.). Proceeds will benefit AzCA’s programs and services that aid Yuma’s families.
The event celebrates the life and incredible legacy of former Arizona’s Children Association Board Member John Boemer, who began the annual golf tournament to collect donations for local children. Since its inception in 1988, the tournaments have raised more than $700,000, fortifying AzCA’s efforts to empower youth and strengthen families. Boemer was the recipient of the 2005 “Heart of Yuma” award from the Yuma Community Foundation in the category of “Outstanding Benefactor,” and his charitable work continues to inspire AzCA’s mission.
