“Trincheras Archaeological Site Field Trip” to Sonora, Mexico, departing from the Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill, 1675 W. Anklam Rd., Tucson*
Depart 8 a.m. Friday, return Sunday evening. $350 + Eventbrite fees (includes transportation, accommodations, and most meals; student fellowships available)

Join the Desert Laboratory for a long weekend trip to visit Tumamoc Hill’s sister archaeological and cultural site of Trincheras, Sonora. In collaboration with the Mexican National Institute for Anthropology and History (INAH), the Desert Laboratory is organizing this two-night, three-day excursion to the Trincheras archaeological site. Archaeological and cultural experts Elisa Villalpando, Paul and Suzy Fish, Jonathan Mabry, Desert Lab Director Ben Wilder, and others will lead participants in exploring the scientific, cultural, and natural history of this remarkable site. This is a rare opportunity to learn directly from the experts who literally wrote the book on Trincheras culture.
