|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until May 31, 2020

Philabaum Glass Gallery will welcome Montana Artist Richard Parrish on Saturday, February 8th for the opening of an exhibition featuring his exquisite works “Tapestries in Glass”. Parrish is an artist and educator who works in kilnformed glass. His tapestry collection is widely recognized for “their intricate patterns and colors. Inspired by fields of grain and hand-woven fabrics, pieces in the series are composed of linear patterns of glass strands creating intricate fiber-like textures”.

The opening will run from 4-6pm. The artist will give a brief presentation about his work at 5pm. The “Tapestries in Glass” exhibition will run through May.

Acclaimed artist Tom Philabaum has been creating glass art for over 40 years in Tucson, AZ. Philabaum Glass Gallery features a wide range of original gifts and collectibles; wedding gifts, corporate awards, artful jewelry, commemorative urns, one - of- a- kind art; exquisite creations for every budget and occasion. Philabaum Gallery is located at 711 S. Sixth Ave and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm. For more information call 520-884-7404.
