Birding in the Garden
November 14 at 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Native plants, gardens, crops and orchards attract a wide variety of birds at this four-acre, 18th-century garden at the base of “A” Mountain in Tucson. This walk is good for beginning bird watchers, gardeners and those interested in attracting birds to their yards. Along the way you’ll see the wide variety of food-plants that can grow in Tucson and many bird-friendly plants as well. Suggested $5 donation at the gate. Walk is co--hosted with Tucson Audubon Society. No registration necessary. Meet at the public entrance to Mission Garden, at 946 W Mission Lane (just east of Grande Road on Mission Lane, at the base of "A" Mountain). Walk led by Kendall Kroesen, Outreach Coordinator at Mission Garden and Tucson Audubon Field Trip Leader.
