El Corral Steakhouse on River Road in Tucson is hugely popular. It’s been there since it was “out of town”. Their specialty is prime rib enjoyed in a casual dining atmosphere. The ambiance is many framed old Western movie posters of by-gone stars most people under 60 never heard of. Anyone remember Roy Rogers? How ’bout Tom Mix? El Corral is owned by the same folks who have Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse in Trail Dust Town on Tanque Verde. If you like one, you’ll like the other. Great Old West atmosphere, not the best steaks. Nevertheless, we have to rate it highly for Atmosphere.
