Easy Beautiful Family Hike – Marshall Gulch
Searching for the best, easy hike on Mt. Lemmon on a hot day or for some fall colors. Try Marshall Gulch. It is, probably the most popular of hikes here on Mt. Lemmon, precisely because of it’s ease of access, mountain beauty and cool alpine atmosphere. It is also a great hike for children although it connects to the more difficult Aspen trail. Plenty of things to see and explore here. Stop at the Palisades Ranger Station on the way up for some maps. Then head through Summerhaven and proceed to the picnic area at the end of the road. you will know how busy it is by the number of cars parked there. Bring a picnic.
