Our Tucson History & Libation Walking Tour Offers Wine & Food Tastings From Spanish Era
ALL OUR TOURS ARE CURRENTLY by PRIVATE CHARTER ONLY
Our new, very special Tucson History & Libation Walking Tour last month was a real hit, so we will be offering it again. Get the full schedule of tours and dates here.
This is your opportunity to experience 1870’s Tucson through the eyes of saloon keeper, George Hand who left us a most insightful diary. We will be hopping on and off the Modern Streetcar, so the walking is a leisurely 2 miles with plenty of places to sit and relax along the way.
Heirloom Food & Libation From The Spanish Era
Among other delights, we will again offer wine and food tastings from the Spanish era 300 years ago. No, the wine and food are NOT 300-years-old. But the heirloom fruit is from Mission Garden where they grow descendants of grapes and pomegranates brought to this region by Father Kino in the late 1690’s. And the food tastings are from the same ingredients used by the soldiers and settlers at the Presidio from 1776. So you will be tasting what they tasted.
As we always do on this Downtown Tucson Walking Tour, we will enjoy a fine lunch at La Cocina next to El Presidio del Tucson.
Price: $69 All-Inclusive. Streetcar Day Pass; Admissions; Heirloom Tastings; Proprietary History Packet; Amazing Stories From Back In The Day; plus an excellent lunch with libations.

Some Tours Suspended
Hopefully it will be temporary, but we have suspended our Ghost Town and Santa Cruz River Valley Tours until further notice. Until we find some reasonable remedy, Old Jimmy’s back is just not up to guiding an all-day tour. But a half-day tour riding on Zippy, his trusty electric scooter, seems to work out well. We will be announcing our tours 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule, so please sign up for one of our newsletters if you are interested.
We so love showing our guests the wonders of Southern Arizona, and hope that we may return to doing so soon.
We will still offer occasional Charter Tours if we are physically able. We can certainly make recommendations if we cannot accommodate you.
If you are interested in a charter, or personal tour please contact us at: Jim@southernarizonaguide.com or phone Jim at 520-820-2710.
