Santa Cruz County is still sparsely populated and remains an excellent destination for bird and wildlife photographers, hikers, ghost town hunters, kayakers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. Among the attractions here are Patagonia Lake State Park, Patagonia – Sonoita Creek Preserve, scenic back roads, the Arizona Trail, and lots of wineries. Along the way, we stopped at what was left of Harshaw Townsite, now a ghost town. Be sure to hover over the slides to read the captions.
