New Exhibit: Wall of Faces: A Grateful Nation Thanks and Honors You
In collaboration with the Town of Douglas, the Arizona History Museum is proud to present “Wall of Faces: A Grateful Nation Thanks and Honors You”. The exhibit celebrates Douglas Vietnam War Veterans, their families, and those who served in support of the Armed Forces.
The exhibit was created by Honorable Judge Alma Vildosola, Don Jordan, Dick Keith, Hector Leon, and Ginny Jordan in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. A Presidential Proclamation by President Obama asked "Federal, State, and local officials to honor our Vietnam Veterans, our fallen, our wounded, those unaccounted for, our former prisoners of war, their families, and all who served with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities." The resulting exhibit was on display in Douglas, Arizona and now travels to our museum. The exhibit will be on display February 25th through July 4th, 2017.
Veterans receive free admission to the museum year-round. From Memorial Day to Veteran’s Day, active duty military and up to 5 family members receive free admission to the museum as part of the Blue Star Museums program. For non-military visitors, regular admission fees apply.
