Works on and of Paper Art Exhibit
Works on and of paper are just that – works on and of paper. They can involve a variety of methods and materials, and a wide range of conceptual approaches; but, through it all, they share paper as their primary vehicle. The paper you see has been painted, cut, stitched, beaded, burned, scored, marked, collaged, folded, pulped, and shaped by hands of member artists of Tucson’s unique and eclectic art group PaperWorks. SHAPED BY HAND Works on and of Paper was juried by Tucson based artist, bookmaker, and teacher Amanda Beekuizen-Williams. Exhibit Duration: December 23 – March 12
PaperWorks the Sonoran collective for paper and book artists provides educational and creative opportunities for all who love and work with and on paper. With over 200 members, the group is an all-volunteer organization that promotes the appreciation and enjoyment of the paper and book arts through ongoing meetings, workshops, and special events. Approximately 100 members and guests attend monthly meetings to exchange information and experience high quality programs.
