Monday & Friday Bird Walks Start Oct. 15
Twice weekly bird walks start on Monday, October 15, at the east end of the campground at the birding kiosk at 9:00 am. Bird walks are free, but State Park admission of $10 per car ($2.50 per person) or an Annual State Park Pass is required. There is no pre-registration. Walks generally last about three hours, though you may turn around and return at any time. The distance covered is approximately one mile on a flat area, except for steep steps leading down to the lake level. Bring binoculars and water. For more information about the bird walks, call the Visitor Center at 520-287-2791 or 520-820-5101.
