Blue Agave B&B is Tucson’s newest bed and breakfast inn. While only minutes from Downtown, it is nonetheless secluded, private, & quiet with views to die for. Located at the end of Camino de Oeste near Gates Pass, it is a short jaunt to the Yetman Trail and great hiking in Tucson Mountain Park.
I first met innkeeper Dana Smith at a Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitor Bureau luncheon. She told me she operates a B&B. I inquired as to the name of her inn.
“Blue Agave,” she replied.
“Would you like me to review it for Southern Arizona Guide,” I asked without having thought the matter through carefully.
“Sure,” she said. “Anytime.”
That sent up a red flag. Restaurant and hotel operators don’t seem to understand that inviting me to do a review comes with considerable risk. For the benefit of the visitors to our website, I am far more critical in my reviews than most operators can tolerate.
